Is the transfer process safe? Can I trust YesVideo with my memories?
YesVideo has been handling millions of families’ irreplaceable video and photo memories since 1999. We specialize in the video conversion service and treat customers’ memories like we would care for our own. We have built secure processes trusted by the nation’s leading retail chains.
 
When we receive each order, it is assigned a unique bar code, making it easily traceable at every step in the transfer process. Every part of your order is kept together from the time it is received, until your finished order is returned to you. And our system will not allow a completed order to be shipped unless every part is included.
 
Can I submit my wedding video recorded by a video professional? What about recorded TV programs?
If you have a wedding video or a video recorded by a professional, you must obtain their permission for YesVideo to transfer the footage. Please submit a signed copyright waiver form with your order. We cannot process these videos without this copyright waiver. Click here to download a copyright waiver form.
 
We will not process copyrighted TV or movie footage unless the order is submitted with a copyright waiver form from the show's broadcasting company.
 
Should I order a Blu-ray or DVD disc?
  1. If you shot your digital videos with an HD camcorder, Blu-ray is your best bet. Your HD images will be sharp and colors will be vivid on your HD TV. A Blu-ray player is required.
  2. If you shot your digital videos in standard definition, then you should order DVDs.
  3. Blu-rays are not available from videotapes, movie film, 35mm slides or color prints. These will all be transferred to DVD.
I don’t know what footage is on these tapes and reels. Can I find out before ordering DVDs?
Yes. For videotape and movie film orders, you may choose the Transfer-only order option. If you choose this order option, we will digitize your videos and give you access to them on our secure MemorySafe website. You can view and edit them online, and then order custom DVDs that contain only your favorite scenes.
Can I include multiple media types in the same order?
Yes! You may submit your tapes, reels, slides, prints and memory cards in the same shipment. Different media types will not be combined on the same DVD.

How long is the service time?
Orders take about 4 weeks to complete. This includes the time to ship to and from YesVideo. We offer an optional RUSH service (expedited to 10 days upon order arrival at YesVideo). RUSH service is available for an extra $9.00 per DVD order and may be selected on the Order Summary screen.
 
Which extra charges should I expect?
There are no hidden charges associated with YesVideo’s standard transfer service. There is an optional subscription fee to extend your MemorySafe access beyond the free 90-day trial.
 
Extra charges may occur in the following situations:
 
  1. If actual footage received exceeds the estimated total.
  2. If your footage exceeds the DVD/Blu-ray footage limits and had to be split into separate DVD/Blu-ray orders (and charged as separate orders).
  3. If your videotapes are damaged, jammed or broken, we will attempt to repair your tapes. There will be a nominal repair service charge.
  4. If you choose the optional RUSH service.
 
If the actual total adds up to $25 or higher above your estimated total, YesVideo will contact you before proceeding.
 
How can I track the status of my transfer order?
Email: We will send you email messages at key steps in the transfer process:
 
  1. When we receive and enter your order,
  2. When your DVDs or Blu-ray discs have been created and have been shipped back to you, and
  3. When your videos are available online for viewing and sharing on MemorySafe.
 
To ensure that you receive these messages, be sure to add orders@yesvideo.com to your email program’s Safe Sender’s list.

How can I edit my videos?
Each DVD and Blu-ray title include 90 days of free online viewing on MemorySafe*. MemorySafe allows you to

* MemorySafe’s MemoryEditor allows you to edit your videos online. Build custom collage movies, add your own MP3 music and publish for online sharing or order new DVDs.
 
Will my online videos be shared with the public?
No. Your videos will be available for your private viewing and sharing on our MemorySafe* website. YesVideo created MemorySafe with the intention of keeping your videos secure and private. We let you decide who can view your YesDVD movies.
 
Will my original materials be returned?
Yes, all original media will be returned to you with your completed order.
 
For movie film transfers, the film will be cleaned, spliced and combined onto new 400 ft reels. Your empty reels will be returned, in addition to the new 400 ft. reels containing your original footage.
 
* After 90-day free trial, a MemorySafe subscription is required to continue online viewing, sharing and digital protection for your videos.

Gather and wrap your media in a plastic bag to keep all materials grouped and protected.
   
Find a sturdy box that will properly
fit your materials.
   
Be sure to use packing material to keep your materials from moving around during shipment. No bubble wrap or packing items? Recycled newspaper also works.
   
Tape the box on all sides.
   
When shipping, be sure to obtain a tracking number.
